Two good examples of this, this year, were, firstly, in Reading, when a group of Gurkhas collected their badges and buckets and prepared for action. Some of them wore their traditional "Slouch" hats, and between them managed to collect in excess of £2000. A huge vote of thanks to the people of Reading for their generosity.
Then, several weeks ago, after receiving and invitation from MORRISON'S SUPERMARKET in Southampton, 4 Gurkhas, including ChattraThappa Magyar, our number 1 collector, collected over £1800. Again many thanks to the residents of Totton and District, hopefully we will meet you again.
Some of the money has now been used to upgrade the Allotment site in Theale, near Reading, which is being tended by several family groups from Reading area, and really flourishing.
